THANATOLOGY

The word is derived from the Greek vocabulary Thanatos (“death”). This term has various definitions. It is a scientific discipline that is aimed at being able to find the meaning of death, and its meaning.

 

Fundamentals of Thanatology: When the person is in the process of leaving this world, it is ensured that he/she is treated with dignity and that in turn he/she has a dignified death.

Objectives: That the mourner come to accept death. That you have adequate care in the process and that your rights and wishes of the terminally ill are respected and fulfilled.

Grief not related to physical loss: Thanatology not only works the loss or the process of leaving this world. There are also many griefs related to the tangible and the non-intangible:

To mention some of these: Divorce, Retirement, Moving, Loss of Health, Loss of Pet.

Other non-intangible grief would be: Loss of confidence, security, control among others.

  • The Thanatologist accompanies you in the grieving process as well as in all kinds of significant losses. Ensure that the bereaved is treated with dignity and respect. Its goal is to be able to guide the mourner and help him come to accept his reality.

  • Educates: About the grieving process, the emotions and feelings that can arise in grieving and the stages of grieving.

  • Help: If there is chronic grief, the Thanatologist can help coordinate additional services as well as the search for specialists.

  • Support: The Thanatologist accompanies you in the grieving process, listens and ensures that your feelings and processes are respected and validated.

  • Facilitator: Facilitates the development of tools to be able to process grief/loss
  • It doesn’t tell you what to do
  • He won’t tell you not to express your emotions or not to cry
  • Does not judge you
  • Cannot prescribe medication
  • Cannot communicate with the deceased

ONTOLOGICAL COACHING

Ontological Coaching is a branch of philosophy that focuses on the study of being, of what exists within you. This refers to the interpretation of what the human being is and the changes that occur in the life of this person. Ontology works three domains: These are Body, Language and Emotion. These three domains are the basis of how we see ourselves, how we talk to ourselves, how we react and what kind of emotions we are presented with in various situations in life.

 

This competition helps to understand who we are, what we want to do from the inner thought and how to transform and redesign who we are based on change actions. It works with our judgments, which are statements that we form about ourselves and the other around us, and with the limiting beliefs that we form throughout our lives.

Emotional Intelligence (EI) is the capacity of manage both of your own emotions and understand the emotions of people around you.  This will include five key elements:  Self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy and social skills.  This is most often defined as the ability to perceive, understand, manage and handle your emotions.

The Ontological Coach help you in the process of your self-discovery. With the powerful tools and questions, it will help you to be able to reach your interior and achieve that rediscovery of your way of being. Being able to understand what kind of observer you are being and what judgments you have. By carrying out this self-assessment you will be able to change the observer, thus achieving the reunion of new answers and visions within you.
